Scenes to colour
The same animals as the single pages, but with somewhere to be — a garden, a pond, a hill, a pile of leaves. More to fill in, and a picture that tells a small story when it is finished. Every one prints as a PDF in A4 and US Letter.

Scenes or single animals?
A scene has four or five times as much in it as a single character, which is either the point or the problem depending on the child. Under two, the single pages work better — one shape, finished in one go. From about two and a half a scene starts to hold, and it can be picked up again the next day without feeling abandoned.
Printing them
Each page is a PDF sized for a full sheet, so there is nothing to scale or crop. Plain copier paper is fine for crayons; something heavier helps if your child presses hard with felt tips.
