Dada in the rain
A free colouring page — A duckling who is entirely unbothered by the weather.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
A wide cloud across the top, rain coming down in rows, and a puddle for Dada to stand in. The raindrops are single strokes rather than areas, so they are for tracing over rather than filling.
What is in the picture
Let them colour the rain too. Blue rain on a yellow duck is a combination children arrive at by themselves and are rather pleased with.
Colouring it with a toddler
The puddle and the cloud are the two big areas; everything else is detail.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.
Who is in it
Colour on screen instead
The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
