Popo and the puddle
A free colouring page — A piglet and a puddle, which is a short story with a predictable ending.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
Popo stands on the grass with a wide puddle beside him, a cloud on one side and the sun on the other. His snout and curly tail are the details; everything else is round and open.
What is in the picture
The puddle has a line through it to suggest a ripple, which gives it two areas instead of one.
Colouring it with a toddler
Easy page. Five or six areas and no corners anywhere.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.

The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
