Dada on the pond
A free colouring page — Dada afloat among the lily pads with reeds on both banks.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
Water drawn as rows of waves across the bottom, two lily pads and four reeds standing up at the edges. The waves are lines, not areas, which makes the water the easiest part of the page to get right.
What is in the picture
The lily pads are round with a wedge cut out — small enough to be the last thing done and still feel finished.
Colouring it with a toddler
Calm page with a lot of horizontal lines. Pairs well with the frog one.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.

The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
