Lulu on the lily pads
A free colouring page — The frog where a frog ought to be.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
Lulu sits above the water with lily pads on either side and reeds standing at the banks. Her domed eyes are still the largest feature, and the water below is drawn as waves.
What is in the picture
Leaving the frog's eyes white makes the whole picture work better. Worth mentioning once, then letting them decide.
Colouring it with a toddler
Mostly big open areas with the reeds as fiddly bits at the edges.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.

Colour on screen instead
The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
