Nunu by the palm tree
A free colouring page — An elephant standing beside a palm, both of them taking up a lot of room.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
The palm has a segmented trunk, five wide fronds and three coconuts underneath them. Nunu's trunk is the one line on the page that curves in both directions.
What is in the picture
The segments on the palm trunk are stripes, which children colour in alternating colours surprisingly often.
Colouring it with a toddler
Tall page with a lot of vertical shapes. Different from the rest of the set.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.

The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
