Dada the duckling

The yellow duckling with a single curl of hair that refuses to lie flat.
Who Dada is
Dada is the duckling with one curl of hair that never lies flat. He is usually the first one a very young child points at, because he is the simplest shape in the whole cast.
He is drawn the same way everywhere he appears, with the same colours and the same face, so a child learns to recognise him quickly. That matters more at this age than anything he actually does on screen: a familiar face behaving predictably is what makes a screen feel calm rather than loud.
Colour Dada in
Almost all of Dada is two circles and a beak, which makes this the easiest page in the set. There are only five areas to fill, and the curl on top is small enough to be a reward at the end rather than a chore.
Dada colouring page
Good first page for a child who has never coloured before. Few areas, big ones, and nothing that needs a steady hand.
The rest of the cast
Dada and the rest of them live in a world of gentle games for ages 1–4.
