Who Nunu is
Nunu is the elephant whose ears are nearly as wide as the rest of her. She appears in the mazes and the farm scenes, always moving at her own unhurried pace.
She is drawn the same way everywhere she appears, with the same colours and the same face, so a child learns to recognise her quickly. That matters more at this age than anything she actually does on screen: a familiar face behaving predictably is what makes a screen feel calm rather than loud.
Colour Nunu in
The curling trunk is the one line on this page that a pencil has to follow rather than fill, and children usually trace it several times before colouring anything else. Her two ears have inner areas, and the soles of her feet are separate too.

If a child is practising holding a pencil, the trunk is a better exercise than any worksheet — it curves in both directions.
The rest of the cast
Nunu and the rest of them live in a world of gentle games for ages 1–4.
