Mazes
A winding path, a few things to pick up along the way, and a friend waiting at the end.

What it is
A maze game built for fingers rather than pencils. Your child drags a character along a corridor, gathering what they find on the way, until they reach the goal.
Every maze is its own little scene rather than an abstract grid — a path through a garden, a route home, somewhere that looks like a place.
How to play
Put a finger on the character and move it along the corridor. The path keeps the character in; there is no way to get properly lost.
Items on the route are collected by passing over them. Reaching the end finishes the maze and opens the next one.
What it builds
Tracing a path with a finger is direct preparation for holding a pencil. The hand has to move continuously, stay within a boundary and change direction deliberately — the same three things handwriting asks for later.
Planning the route before moving, even a short one, is early problem solving. Most children start by moving and looking, and gradually begin looking first.
Ages and pace
Comfortable from around two and a half. The earliest mazes are short and wide; later ones get longer without ever becoming difficult. Nothing is timed.
A new world every maze
A few of the mazes. Clouds, planets, desert, volcanoes — each has its own scene and its own things to gather.
