Bubbles
Bubbles drift up the screen. Touch one and it pops with a soft sound, leaving a small animal behind.

What it is
The simplest game in PlayKiko, and usually the first one a child understands without being shown. Bubbles rise slowly from the bottom of the screen. Each one has a friendly animal hiding inside it, and a single tap is enough to find out which.
Nothing chases the child and nothing runs out. A bubble that drifts off the top is simply replaced by another.
How to play
Tap a bubble. It pops, the animal inside appears for a moment, and the next bubble floats up. That's the whole game.
Because the bubbles move slowly and the targets are large, even a child who has only just worked out that screens respond to fingers can play it alone.
What it builds
This is cause and effect in its purest form: I touch, something happens. For a very young child that connection is genuinely new, and repeating it is how it gets learned.
Reaching for a moving target also works on hand-eye coordination — the bubble drifts, the finger has to meet it, and the aim gets better over a few weeks of playing.
Ages and pace
Good from around two, and often the game a younger sibling gravitates to. There is no way to lose and nothing to finish, so a child can stop whenever they like.
