Pip in the falling snow
A free Christmas colouring page — A hedgehog under snow that is taking its time coming down.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
Large snowflakes hang in the air around Pip, each one built from six arms with smaller branches off them. He stands in the middle with his berry still balanced on his spines.
What is in the picture
The snowflakes are drawn as lines rather than shapes, so this is a page for tracing over rather than filling in. Pip himself is the only part with areas to colour.
Colouring it with a toddler
Pencils work better than crayons here. The snowflakes are the first thing in the set that rewards a fine point.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A Christmas scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.

Pip Colour on screen instead
The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
