Nino in a Santa hat
A free Christmas colouring page — A penguin wearing a hat that is slightly too big for him, which is the point.
Free to print at home, at nursery or anywhere else. No sign-up, no email.
What is going on here
Nino stands in the middle of the page with a Santa hat over his head, the bobble hanging off to one side, and snowflakes around him. He looks entirely comfortable about it.
What is in the picture
The hat is the obvious red, the brim and bobble the obvious white, and the penguin underneath has his pale front panel as always. Three decisions and the page is done.
Colouring it with a toddler
The snowflakes are the fiddly part. Leave them until the hat and the penguin are finished.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. A Christmas scene has more in it than a single animal, so expect it to be done over two sittings rather than one.
Who is in it
Nino Colour on screen instead
The same characters are in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
