Who this is
Rara is the lion whose mane is drawn as a ring of rounded petals, which makes him look rather more like a flower than a predator. That is intentional.
What is in the picture
The mane is the main event: a circle of separate shapes around the head, each one its own area. A child can colour them all the same or alternate two colours, and the second looks genuinely good. The tail ends in a tuft.
Colouring it with a toddler
Try alternating two colours around the mane. It is the one page in the set where a simple pattern makes a real difference.
Thick crayons beat pencils at this age — they need no grip strength and they do not break when a child leans on them. Expect the first few attempts to be one colour scribbled across everything; staying inside a line comes later, and it comes on its own.
Colour it on screen instead
Rara is also in the PlayKiko colouring game, where tapping an area fills it and nothing goes outside the lines. Useful on a train, where crayons are a mistake.
